Convention Center Company Information Capital Improvement Board

The Capital Improvement Board of Managers (of Marion County, Indiana) is a municipal body created under Indiana Code (IC) 36-10-9 and governed by a nine member board. Six of the nine board members are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Indianapolis, two are appointed by the Marion County Board of Commissioners and one is appointed by the City-County Council of the Consolidated City of Indianapolis-Marion County, a unified form of government commonly referred to as �Unigov�.

The CIB is authorized to finance, construct, equip, operate and maintain any capital facilities or improvements of general public benefit or welfare which would tend to promote cultural, recreational, public or civic well-being of the community. Facilities used in sports, recreation, and convention activities are leased and/or operated by the CIB in downtown Indianapolis.
